MetaSystem, Europe's leading supplier of vehicle security, safety and information systems, is boosting its Thatcham-approved aftermarket range with the launch of a new competitively priced upgrade alarm.

The new HPAT system incorporates a host of innovative features and is accredited by Thatcham in the 2>1 upgrades category.  The system offers remote central door locking for vehicles already equipped with central door locking - a prime example of its versatility and simplicity of operation.

For maximum protection of the vehicle's contents, MetaSystem's HPAT alarm incorporates mechanical door, bonnet and boot sensors - extending to the rear doors on vans.  Visual signalling via the indicators occurs upon system arming/disarming and when the alarm is triggered, while a flashing LED is a useful visual deterrent.  Other standard features on this vibration and water resistant product include ignition hotwire protection and a battery back up facility.

MetaSystem has built in added flexibility to some applications.  An emergency override code enables operation of the alarm in the event of the remote transmitters being lost or damaged, while the ultrasonic sensors and voltage drop sensor protecting the interior can be excluded, enabling the sunroof or windows to remain open while children or pets are in the car.

A series of optional features offers extra convenience and includes an emergency electronic override key plus a number of programmable functions such as panic facility, which can be tailored by MetaSystem dealers to meet an individual customer's specific security requirements. 

The HPAT incorporates a special safety device that automatically locks the doors whilst the vehicle is on the move - a highly innovative feature not traditionally associated with aftermarket security products.

The HPAT has been designed to upgrade the manufacturer's standard fit immobiliser and comes with two anti-scan, anti-grab remotes to operate the alarm.
